hey,
here's more about me.

I'm Vinson Feng, a 22 year old college student at Cornell University Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, passionate about art, design, fashion, and everything in between. Currently, I am majoring in applied economics and management (AEM) with a concentration in marketing and a minor in user experience (UX).

What excites me most about design is the ability to assemble small details into a cohesive and impactful final product. The harmony between these elements creates a unique, memorable experience.
My fascination with design began with a childhood love for fashion and art, inspired by how artists used graphics, sounds, and clothing to build distinct brand identities. From pop-up shops with immersive architecture to carefully curated music and merchandise, every detail expressed creativity and vision, leaving a lasting impression on me throughout my life.

As a product designer, I am driven by the profound impact design can have on people’s lives. Thoughtful details - like a specific font used, user-friendly interface layout, accessibility choices, or seamless functionality - can solve problems, simplify tasks, or bring joy. Great design often feels effortless, yet close attention reveals the intentional choices behind it: precise sizing, color palettes, strategic positions, or subtle animations.

For me, design goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about creating meaningful, transformative experiences. The process of crafting these details to improve lives fuels my passion every day.
DESIGN//VALUES
Creative Problem-Solving - I’m driven by a love for solving challenges through design. Whether it’s rethinking a navigation flow or crafting a visually engaging interface, I strive to combine user needs, technology, and creativity into solutions that are both intuitive and impactful. For me, design isn’t just about making something look good - it’s about creating meaningful experiences that solve real problems in thoughtful and innovative ways. Great design should feel seamless because it is natural.

Attention to Detail - I believe the difference between good design and great design lies in the details. From perfecting typography and spacing to ensuring every interaction feels just right, I pay close attention to every element. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating a cohesive experience where users don’t have to think twice because everything works exactly as expected.

Empathy - Empathy is the foundation of my approach to design. I focus on deeply understanding users, listening to their pain points, and considering the perspectives of all stakeholders. But empathy doesn’t stop at the end-user - I value collaboration with my design team and other partners, fostering an open environment where ideas can grow into effective solutions.

Commitment to Learning - I thrive on curiosity and growth. I’m constantly exploring new tools, technologies, and design methodologies to stay ahead in this ever-evolving field. At the same time, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge, mentoring others, and creating a positive impact within my teams. For me, learning is a continuous journey that fuels my creativity and drives my work forward.
